Easy to use menus provide for user defined business rules, routing instructions and form and report application properties.
Overview iDocs Engine Process
SimplicityVery user friendly iSeries System i AS/400 host based, pull-down menu screens prompt for desired form definitions, including auto-burst and de-collate, multipart form distribution, auto-form rotation, backside printing, paper tray selection, output queue locations, archive spool file options and much more.

Automated Forms Merge
iDocs provides various user friendly methods for defining merges of spool file output to designed form or report overlays. An unlimited number of "Engines" can be defined which capture spool or database files from directed Output Queues for automated processing.
Optionally inFORM can provide "Print Immediate" API's to define parameters of command line document merge and route operations.
Powerful Data Mapping
iDocs offers state of the art graphical and coordinate (green screen) methods to align spool data (map) to the correct locations on the designed form or report.
iMap is inFORMS "open designer" drag n' drop graphical (GUI) data mapping utility. iMap allows the user to use any Windows Compliant forms designer* to print into a split pane mapping environment, and import into iDocs natively on the iSeries System i.
This state of the art mapping concept is unique to inFORM Decisions and one of the primary reasons inFORM has won their awards and recognition for ease and power for a autmoated Document Management.
Lightning Quick Performance
Since iDocs is architected to utilize compressed overlays and download resources with the first page of a print run, and just re-called with each merge, performance is very fast.
Typical overlay forms are 20k and printers will typically run at rated speeds.
Additionall, since iDocs is a native eDocument form report processor, there are no delays to download to external intel or other servers. Spool files are capture and processed in seconds.
